Saturday, June 5:  Museum of Scotland, Arthur’s Seat

We woke up and had breakfast at our hotel. We took the bus to the center of town and the walked to the Museum of Scotland. It was 5 floors of history. I didn’t like it that much because it got old after 2 floors. They did have a neat clock with a whole bunch of cool things on it that moved with the clock. There was also a kids sport area. Mom wanted to see the statue of Greyfriar’s Bobby. He was a dog who visited his master’s grave every day until his death. People though he was so loyal that they buried him and gave him a statue. We took the bus home. Dad and David and I wanted to hike Arthur’s Seat. It’s a big hill in the middle of Edinburgh. We could see all of Edinburgh and David and I sat on the highest point marker. We hiked down and Mom wanted to eat. So we went back to the place down the street for my birthday dinner (my birthday’s tomorrow). We asked for a bigger portion than last time because it was too small. They gave us four times more than last time. For my birthday they gave me a Homer Simpson cake with 10 candles, it was lemon and really good! Once we got home Mom gave me a little statue of a little West Highland terrier.
